A statement piece this vintage 18ct yellow gold rams head ring is intricately enamelled in a metallic forest green, the enamel hand set around ornate Celtic motifs. Modelled on a Bighorn bread of sheep the rams head has ribbed horns, enamelled forehead detail and enamelled eyes. Dating from the middle of the century the ring takes inspiration from the Etruscan Revival period but with less intricacy and delicacy. Instead they focused more influences from mythology and ancient folk lore which can be seen so well in this statement vintage ring.
With its bold and impressive proportions and wonderful green enamel detailing this ring certainly isn't for the sheepish of jewellery lovers.
