This fabulous and one-of-a-kind Victorian antique book link chain is beautifully adorned with rose and yellow gold meadow birds, animals and insects. Dating from circa 1880 each of 19 panels of the chain is decorated with a miniature meadow scene with birds, animals and insects applied in relief. The Aesthetic movement necklace comes with an accompanying locket with its centre detailed with floral motifs bordered by a geometric pattern and beaded edge. A rare and totally unique antique silver chain.
