A rare Russian victorian 14 karat yellow gold pink & white cameo bracelet with 7 ornately carved oval panels, each with a female bust depicted in a Greco-Roman style with lots of floral elements masterfully carved into their coiffures or hair styles. The bracelet is marked with a “56” stamp that indicate 14 karat Russian gold standard. Also stamped 1892 for the year of manufacture along with a beehive assay mark.
This piece would have been hand carved and crafted during the reign of the last Tsars of Russia, during this period Tsar Alexander III who only reigned as Emperor from 1891-1894. The cameos themselves were most likely carved in Naples, Italy and then crafted into the bracelet you see in Russia, hence the hallmarks for this country. Pieces of this quality and age are rare.
