A truly beautiful Victorian 18ct yellow gold emerald, diamond and black enamel sword brooch dating from the late 19th century. The grip of the hilt is delicately set with rose cut diamonds totalling approx. 0.60ct and finely detailed with a black enamel edge which remains in excellent condition. The centre of the rain guard is set with a lush, deep green rectangular cut emerald of approx. 0.25ct. Moving down the outer case of the stored which is masterfully entwined with a solid gold strap of fluid design and detail. To the reverse the hilt is detailed further with a diagonal, grooved strips adding that extra attention to detail reserved only for the finest crafted jewellery.

CONDITION - The brooch is in excellent condition commensurate with age. The brooch fitting opens and closes securely. The stones all remain securely set and are original to the piece. The enamel shows no signs of chipping or visible loss.
