Platinum 2ct Diamond Propeller Brooch, Early 20th Century

A really lovely early 20th century long bar brooch made in the shape of a propeller. Superb crafted in platinum with a combination of pave set Old European and small round cut diamonds, all the gems are mille-grain set. The estimated diamond content is 2.00cts, the centre stone is 0.25ct. This super antique platinum brooch size, firmly secured in the setting of this pre-loved piece. It has a strong pin and also a safety catch for security. This is a most striking and elegant brooch from the early 20th century period that would make a statement worn on a black ensemble.

CUT – Old European cut / round cut

CARAT WEIGHT – Estimated 2.00 total weight for all the diamonds. The largest centre stone is 0.25ct with four principal stones of 0.10ct each.

CLARITY – VS1 - SI1

COLOUR – G - H

 

WEIGHT – 9.9g

 

HALLMARK – None but tested using a touchstone as platinum. There is a serial no. 7612 and makers mark 'S K & S' stamped on the brooch pin.

 

CONDITION - Excellent. This is a beautifully made antique brooch, very finely detailed and a credit to the maker. All the stones remain securely set and all present.
