A stylish and totally unique mid century carved sapphire ring set in 18ct rose gold shank dating from circa 1958. The ring which was masterfully crafted and hand carved originates from the island of Gotland in Sweden from a small village - Hemse. The designer named Oberg, which is possibly an abbreviation, cast and carved the ring and appears to be seldom worn since it was created well over half a century ago. The sapphire is carved depicting floral and naturalistic patterns and is of deep blue hue. A fabulous bespoke vintage ring with so much contemporary style, perfect for a collector or vintage accessory.
