A truly ravishing pair of late Georgian/early Victorian garnet cluster and seed pearl drop earrings, dating from 1835, in fantastic condition. These early-to-mid-nineteenth century earrings are masterfully handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold, with a graceful and opulent baroque design accented with colourful rosettes of vibrant burgundy garnets. The rose cut garnets set in an oval cluster with a seed pearl halo and single garnet centre. They still retain their original, detachable heads with leaver back hook fittings - a rare find indeed.
