A stunning and rare pair of early 19th century torpedo, carved pink coral drop earrings set in 15ct yellow gold with detachable diamond set heads. The gold fittings are intricately decorated in the typical fine granulation and cannetille work common with pieces of the period. The coral bodies are finely decorated with cross hatching and floral patterns with each earring retaining most of its original detailing. The heads are stamped ‘15ct’ and possibly later Victorian addition but are in fitting with the period and look beautiful when worn.
