A fabulous 9ct rose gold late Georgian scroll seal fob with a carnelian intaglio base. The fine rose gold decoration features fine incising around the base and top of the scroll. The beautiful crafted intaglio base features a maiden with flowing robes supporting an anchor symbolising hope.The motto ‘sinite mortuus sum’ translated to ‘let the dead rest’ is used to offer the wearer hope and strength in adversity.
