A fabulous pair of late Georgian amethyst and pearl drop earrings dating from circa 1830. The tops of scrolling wirework design set with a split pearl are fully articulated from the lower drops. Suspending the larger wirework drop, set with an oval, faceted, foiled backed amethyst to the centre and a pearl to the bottom also decorated in fine granulation and cannetille gold work. A beautiful and ornate pair of antique earrings that are a light to wear da and night.

CONDITION – They are in very good condition commensurate with age and use. The gems are original and in good order, the foiling remains intact in most places on the amethyst. It seems they may of been part of a larger suite originally.
