A stunning early 20th century bar brooch hand crafted in 9ct yellow gold dating from circa 1905 with a central set opal cluster with ruby and pearls. This wonderful piece evokes all the charm and appeal that fine antique jewellery has to offer. The central carved opals formed of heart like petals make a beautiful flower head with a ruby centre. The brooch tapers off to either side of the central motif but is masterfully detailed with cursive gold work and more cabochon opals and split pearl highlights. A fabulous antique brooch perfect worn on the lapel or as a chain extender and to top it off the piece comes in its original, velvet lined box!
