A pretty Edwardian 9ct rose gold Forget Me Not engraved wedding band 8mm wide, hand crafted in Birmingham, England in 1915. The delicately chased design still remains visible with only light wear, with the floral pattern and Forget Me Not motifs recognisable when worn. Wedding bands during the Victorian and Edwardian period were decorated in a variety of styles, some highly ornate. This particular example uses the Forget Me Not as a common motif signifying ever lasting love and unity. Historically it is rare to find a ring of this period as this would have been made during the height of the First World War when gold and other precious metals were scarce.
