A splendid Edwardian 18ct yellow gold oval, royal blue Wedgwood Jasperware cameo ring depicting Artemis with a bow alongside a stag. The ring dating from around the turn of the century is beautiful in its design with the head of the ring set between a masterfully crafted split shank with cursive details. The instantly recognisable blue Jasperware panel is stamped ‘Wedgwood’ to the reverse. Being set in 18ct this rarer Edwardian Wedgwood ring is a perfect addition to any antique jewellery collectors hoard.
Artemis, in ancient Greek mythology, was the goddess of wild animals, the hunt, and vegetation and of chastity and childbirth.
