The t-bar also has stamped the makers mark 'B&S' for B H Britton & Sons, Birmingham. The Albert chain can be dated to circa 1900-1920.

Weighing in at 33.2g and measuring 16” or 400mm long the chain is a rare example with many similar chains having been scrapped for the gold. Traditionally worn as a watch chain suspending a pocket watch, Albert chains can also be worn as necklaces and used to suspend charms and pendants.
