An exquisite early 20th century 15ct gold sapphire, split pearl and enamel foliate brooch dating from circa 1910. The central petalled flower heads are masterfully enamelled with a delightful gradient from silver green to turquoise with a wonderful matte finish. In typical Art Nouveau styling the sweeping body of the brooch is set with split pearls around which dainty natural, blue sapphires are set. This wonderful brooch comes in its original fitted box and is a beautiful piece to behold and wear.

DIMENSIONS – 43mm W x 20mm H

 

MATERIALS – 15ct gold/ pearl/ sapphire/ enamel

 

WEIGHT – 6.7g

 

HALLMARK – Stamped ‘15ct’ and tested throughout as 18ct gold using a touchstone. Also a serial number of ’6156’ is present.

 

CONDITION – Very good commensurate with age and use. The enamel work shows some very minor flacking, but this sent seen when worn. The gems are all original and securely set. The brooch pin opens and closes securely.
