A stunning original Art Deco 2.80ct oval blue sapphire and 1.50ct old mine cut diamond halo cluster ring, set in platinum throughout, dating from circa 1920. The central set oval sapphire measuring 10 x 9mm is a deep, vibrant blue and portrays all its natural inclusions and is tri-claw mounted. Surrounding the central sapphire are 16 hand set old mine cut diamonds totalling 1.50ct approx which complete the timeless 'Princess Diana' style halo to full effect. The gallery is beautifully carved adding that extra sign of quality to the ring. A fabulous early 20th century antique ring that would make for a truly unique engagement ring.
