A super original Art Deco aquamarine and diamond ring set with a cushion cut, intricately faceted est. 3.40ct aquamarine flanked by two baguette diamonds (est. 0.20cts each). A further 14 brilliant cut diamonds estimated at 0.02cts each, all millegrain set complete the octagonal setting. Two further diamonds are set in the trefoil shoulders, giving an estimated diamond weight of 0.70ct.
The intricately pierced underbezel is typical of the period as is the reeded shank and the flat design of this lovely ring being so easy to wear with the lack of claws to catch. This ring really does cover all the best elements of the Art Deco period jewelry design. Dating from the 1920s this super antique aquamarine and diamond ring would make a lovely engagement ring.
