A solid, 9 karat rose gold antique Edwardian Albert chain with alternating trombone & round uniform links with a T-bar. Every link is stamped ‘9' '375', the anchor for Birmingham and a lower case 'h' to denote the year are applied to the large round link (see image). The two swivel clips and t-bar are also marked along with the makers mark 'DB'. The Albert chain can be dated to 1907-08.
Weighing in at 30g and measuring 15” or 375mm long the chain is a rare example with many similar chains having been scrapped for the gold. Traditionally worn as a watch chain suspending a pocket watch, Albert chains can also be worn as necklaces and used to suspend charms and pendants. This piece also acts a great investment piece which can also be worn!
