A charming Early 20th Century 18 karat gold navette shape carved blue agate cameo ring depicting Artemis or Diana the goddess of youth, often shown dancing as in this cameo. Also known to be the goddess of animals.

The ring was made during the early part of the 20th Century using 18 karat gold with a fine milled edge to the marquise shaped setting.

The style of the ring is typical of the Aesthetic Movement, a more pared down, simpler form of design after the excesses of some Victorian jewelry. The use of blue agate as a rather more unusual material makes for a rather distinctive ring.
